09/19/24 01:00:pm

In April of 2024, Rogers Behavioral Health launched Rise Above, a new podcast that takes listeners on a journey of education and inspiration as we sit down with Rogers’ experts and past patients who are changing the way the world views mental health and addiction.

To date, Rise Above has covered the topics of ARFID, telehealth, men’s mental health, school-related concerns, OCD and more. The ARFID podcast with Dr. Nicole Stettler, clinical executive director, Eating Disorder Services, and Dr. Peter DeVries, psychiatrist, and medical director of the Eating Disorder Recovery Center for adults and adult inpatient Eating Disorder Recovery, has been downloaded more than 100 times across the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.

“My goal with this podcast is to discuss common and not-so-common mental health struggles while highlighting the ways that Rogers and our experts can provide hope and offer solutions,” explains Andy Meddaugh, lead digital media producer, Marketing and Communications, and host of Rise Above. “I aim to approach these discussions with a balanced tone, blending insight with an engaging and enjoyable approach.”

With more than 456 downloads since April, Rise Above reaches listeners across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Russia, Poland, Columbia, the Philippines, and Puerto Rico.

Rise Above gives us an accessible, global platform to raise awareness of mental health and substance use, stigma, and our world-renowned treatment, all while elevating the expertise and passion of the people that make Rogers unique,” says Maureen Remmel, executive director, Marketing and Communications. “Add to that the courage of our patients who choose to share their stories with us, and we have a powerful opportunity to share information and stories that impact lives.”

Rise Above is available on Rogersbh.org, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Pandora, and all your favorite podcast channels.
