Representatives from Rogers attended the 2019 IOCDF conference in Austin, Texas, giving us the opportunity to share more about our evidence-based OCD treatment. IOCDF uses the conference to bring professionals, families of those suffering from OCD, and patients together to share information and expertise on the most effective and innovative treatment options, emerging research, and helpful resources.

During the four-day conference, Rogers served as a platinum sponsor and hosted two professional networking events. At a mentoring event for 150 young professionals, Rogers team members offered their expertise and mentorship on a variety of topics to those hoping to have an impact on the future of OCD treatment. Paul Mueller, CEO, and Dr. Brad Riemann, chief clinical officer, spoke to 250 professionals at another reception hosted by Rogers. They presented updates on Rogers’ new clinic locations and discussed the recent service line expansions. Networking events like this are a great way to facilitate better relationships between professionals, researchers, and medical and clinical staff.

More than a dozen team members from Rogers attended the conference, with many serving as presenters covering various topics including overcoming barriers to treatment, treating a diverse community, and several evidence-based treatment components.

Rick Ramsay, outreach and conference lead for Rogers, says the IOCDF gathering is one of many conferences Rogers attends each year.

“Over the next year we’ll be attending more than a dozen national conferences, not to mention the many regional conferences we go to throughout the year,” Rick says.

Each conference provides the unique opportunity to connect with a large number of referents at one venue and to educate them about Rogers’ specialized services. All conferences attended by Rogers are specific to our service lines, bringing together experts in their unique specialty.

“It’s an important opportunity to connect with other professionals and share more about our services, but it’s also a good opportunity to receive feedback from referents when they stop by our booth,” Rick adds.

To close out the 2019 IOCDF conference, Rogers was proud to award five scholarships to attend next year’s IOCDF conference in Seattle. Each scholarship covers the full cost of registration to ensure that those who would benefit from attendance are able to take part. In addition to the conference sponsorship, Rogers also became the first national sponsor for the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD walks, which were organized by the IOCDF in June.
