110 years of Rogers

The year was 1907 when the visionary Dr. Arthur Rogers opened the Oconomowoc Health Resort. Interestingly, the exact opening date is not known. While one document mentions a scheduled opening date of May 1, a January newspaper article said Rogers had been open for six months, which puts the opening in late June or early July.

That’s just one small part of Rogers’ history that will be celebrated this year as we mark the 110th Anniversary of the organization’s founding.

Here are some of the activities planned for this spring and summer:

Employees and medical staff are invited to participate in an essay contest: What would you like Dr. Rogers to know about Rogers today? Watch for details soon.
Ice cream socials are planned to take us all back to another era.
Employees will get to select a gift, complete with special anniversary logo.
A continuing education (CE) event, “Harnessing the Power of CBT” for our referral partners features Rogers experts on cognitive behavioral therapy in treatment, an important part of Rogers history.
