Samantha Zaid, PsyD

Clinical Supervisor, Psychologist

Samantha Zaid, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist and clinical supervisor at Rogers in Miami. She supervises the delivery of cognitive behavioral therapy in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adult, adolescent, and child patients. Additionally, Dr. Zaid trains, coaches, and develops staff and trainees in providing evidence-based treatments. She has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of complex trauma, as well as the use of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

Dr. Zaid received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at the University of Maryland. She then earned her Master of Arts in clinical psychology at William James College in Massachusetts, where she also earned her Doctor of Psychology. Dr. Zaid completed her pre-doctoral APA-internship at Northwell Health’s Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY. Dr. Zaid was then a postdoctoral forensic psychology fellow at the Hackensack University Medical Center: Audrey Hepburn Children’s House in New Jersey, specializing in the assessment and treatment of child maltreatment.

Prior to joining Rogers, Dr. Zaid worked as senior psychologist and treatment coordinator at The Children’s Village in Dobbs Ferry, New York, a DBT-informed residential treatment center for adolescent boys. Her duties included completing mental health and psychosexual evaluations, creating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR)-informed treatment plans for youth across juvenile justice and child welfare programs, facilitating monthly treatment planning meetings for residents, families, and their treatment team, and training clinical and direct care staff in implementing trauma-sensitive, DBT-informed treatment.

Dr. Zaid is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the National Child and Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), the Association for the Prevention and Treatment of Sexual Abuse (ATSA), and the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC).
