OCD AND ANXIETY
Nader Amir, PhD, is a professor of clinical psychology at the Joint Doctoral Program of the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego and the director of the Center for the Understanding and Treatment of Anxiety. Dr. Amir also serves as the clinical director of the Rogers Behavioral Health in San Diego.
Dr. Amir earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his PhD in Clinical Psychology from Rosalind Franklin University. He completed his Clinical Psychology Internship at the Department of Psychiatry of Medical College of Pennsylvania at Eastern Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute. He has over 20 years of experience in research and treatment of Anxiety disorders with over 120 research publications.
Dr. Amir is a member of the Association for Advancement of Behavioral Therapy, American Psychological Association, Anxiety Disorders Association of America, Obsessive Compulsive Foundation, and American Psychological Society.
