Laura Carlson, MD, is a board-certified attending psychiatrist at Rogers in Skokie for Focus Depression Recovery, OCD and Anxiety, and Eating Disorder Recovery for adults in our partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care.
She graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor of arts in chemistry and earned her medical degree at Rush Medical College. Dr. Carlson completed her psychiatry residency training at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City in 2005, where she received an award for Medical Student’s Teacher of the Year. She also served as the Chief Resident at the Bronx VA during her last year of residency training.
Dr. Carlson has worked extensively in residential and partial hospitalization settings, focused on the treatment of patients and families struggling with complex dual diagnosis issues that include substance dependency, mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, trauma (PTSD), and OCD.
