OCD AND ANXIETY
Demet Çek, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of OCD, anxiety, and substance use disorders utilizing evidence-based practices. Dr. Çek is the clinical supervisor of Rogers’ San Diego location, where she provides supervision and training for clinical staff and oversees OCD and Anxiety and Focus Depression Recovery partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based psychotherapy through a humanistic lens.
Dr. Çek graduated from Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey with Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She earned her Master of Science and PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Miami, Florida, with a primary research and clinical focus on OCD and related disorders. Dr. Çek completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, California. She published articles on OCD and anxiety and presented at numerous national and international conferences.
Dr. Çek is a member of American Psychological Association and International OCD Foundation.
