Andrew J. Sievila, MSN, RN, PMH-CNS-BC, APNP, is a board-certified advanced practice nurse prescriber with a specialization in psychiatric mental health who works with adults in the partial hospital and intensive outpatient care at Rogers' West Allis Lincoln Center Outpatient Center. Sievila received his bachelor's degree in psychology and his master's in nursing from the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee. He has extensive experience working with diverse populations in a variety of clinical environments, using evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, critical time intervention, trauma-informed care and community integration to improve treatment outcomes.
Prior to joining the staff at Rogers, Sievila served as a registered nurse, case manager and clinical care coordinator for homeless veterans within the Zablocki VA Medical Center's mental health division. In addition to his work at Rogers, Sievila is a first lieutenant / executive officer with the Wisconsin Army National Guard, serving as Apache Troop's Suicide Intervention Officer and Safety Officer. In this role he is responsible for developing and teaching educational materials related to general safety, suicide prevention and fundamentals of reconnaissance for more than 75 soldiers.
