Nameeta Dookeran, MD, MSc, is a physician board-certified in internal medicine and addiction medicine, providing diagnostic and medical care for adults at the Herrington Recovery Center. Dr. Dookeran received her graduate medical education through the Brown-Dartmouth medical program and earned her medical degree from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed an internship, residency and chief residency training in internal medicine at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Dookeran subsequently completed residency training in public health and general preventive medicine, fellowship training in general internal medicine and earned a master’s degree in health services research from Boston University’s School of Public Health.
Dr. Dookeran has given presentations and co-authored articles related to faculty mentoring and leadership, global health topics and barriers to healthcare of patients with substance use disorders. She is a core team member of Cubic Life Foundation, a non-profit organization. Dr. Dookeran is the president-elect for the Waukesha Country Medical Society and serves on the Opioid Task Force of the Wisconsin Medical Society. She is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.
