Gary Gronstedt, DO

Psychiatrist

Gary Gronstedt, DO, is a board-certified psychiatrist who works with children, adolescents, and adults in the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization care at Rogers Behavioral Health in both Minneapolis and St. Paul. Dr. Gronstedt has experience in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and consultation liaison.

Prior to joining Rogers, he worked at PrairieCare in their inpatient setting. Previously, he was also a preceptor for child psychiatry fellows, residents, and medical students at the University of Minnesota. In the past, he has also worked as an assistant clinical professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at UT Southwestern in Austin, Texas. Dr. Gronstedt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency in general psychiatry at Des Moines University–College of Osteopathic Medicine and his fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

His clinical interests include a variety of pediatric psychiatric issues, especially anxiety and mood disorders. He is a member of the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, American Osteopathic Association, and American Board of Osteopathic Neurology and Psychiatry.
