Sharon L. Hirsch, MD

Psychiatrist

Sharon L. Hirsch, MD, is a board-certified adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist at Rogers Behavioral Health in Oconomowoc. Dr. Hirsch received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed a psychiatry residency and a research fellowship in neuropsychopharmacology at the University of California San Diego, and two additional fellowship programs at the UCLA (a research program in child psychopathology, and child and adolescent psychiatry).

Prior to joining Rogers, Dr. Hirsch served as a Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track faculty member in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She has held several academic positions with the Pritzker School of Medicine at The University of Chicago, where she was recognized for her abilities as an instructor of medical students and residents. Her major clinical and research interests include pediatric psychopharmacology, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and depression and mood disorders.

Dr. Hirsch is active with the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and the American Medical Association (AMA). She serves as an elected member of the AACAP nominations committee and as the AACAP representative to the AMA’s psychiatry section council, where she also serves as vice-chair.
