Ever thought it may be nice to have some additional support and tools for caring for your loved ones? In collaboration with CompassionMKE and Samaritan Family Wellness Foundation, join Rogers InHealth for a free weekly gathering Tuesday evenings at Rite-Hite Family YMCA, to explore ways for caregivers to support themselves and their families. Each week you'll have the opportunity to learn and discuss a different topic related to parenting and mental wellness. These are stand alone offerings, so feel free to come to one week or all.
Free childcare is available by the YMCA staff during these events.
Discover how paying attention to your own self-compassion can help you to increase your inner resilience when facing the challenges of being a parent. Mindfulness of Self-Compassion for Parents will teach you skills from mindfulness and self-compassion practices that enhance our capacity for emotional well-being.
Feeling worn out is normal when we care about children. Learn the skills and supports that build strength and compassion and help you manage daily stresses while empowering your kids to do the same.
During this program attendees will examine their own wellness through eight different lenses. They will also discuss with others their personal goals and next steps for creating a happier, healthier life.
