Hammer Elected to National Board of Trustees for NAPHS

Patrick T. Hammer, president and CEO of Rogers Behavioral Health System, Inc., has been elected to a three-year term on the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems (NAPHS) Board of Trustees, effective Jan. 1, 2015.

NAPHS, located in Washington, D.C., advocates for behavioral health and represents behavioral health care providers who own or manage more than 800 psychiatric specialty hospitals, general hospitals, addiction treatment units, behavioral healthcare divisions, residential treatment facilities, youth services organizations and outpatient networks.

“In addition to a broad base of experience, I bring motivation, passion and dedication to the mission of helping people recover from the devastating effects of mental illness and addiction, “ Hammer said. “I am privileged to have this opportunity to advocate in concert with NAPHS.”

Hammer, who joined Rogers in 2012, has 30 years of experience in behavioral health. He has served in clinical, marketing and executive leadership positions at leading behavioral health systems throughout his career. Hammer earned an undergraduate degree in social work from Ball State University and a graduate degree in administration from the University of Notre Dame.

At Rogers, he oversees a system considered one of the largest in the behavioral health industry, with specialized treatment offered for depression and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder and anxiety, eating disorders, addiction and post-traumatic stress disorder.
